Diapering is a snap!
Snappis make diapering with prefolds a snap. They are very easy to use, especially on a wiggling baby. I was surprised to see how small the size ones are. The left and right sides only have about 1cm left before it will no longer grab the sides of the prefold. I'm currently using it on my 5 month old who is about 17.5 lbs and average in size (neither chunky, nor skinny).

All you need!
One 3-pack is all you need to fasten your prefolds or flats! They are nearly indestructible and I only find I need an extra one around for when a blowout gets one covered in poop and it needs rinsing. Speaking of, they're very easy to clean. Do be careful not to snag any skin (yours or babe's!) with them though. You have to work to do any real damage, but my husband has drawn blood on his own finger! (Way safer than diaper pins though.)

Mrs.
Very easy to use! Strong grip - never had a problem of a Snappi being unfastened. Very safe for the baby as well.

Not as good as just a cover for prefolds
Almost all my diapers are prefolds. I was given a pack of snappis as a gift and I used them a couple of times, but it just didn't seem worth the effort to use with prefolds if you have a cover. I just padfolded the prefold and put it in the cover. No snappi or diaper pin needed. In the end I only used it a handful of times.

For the kit
I keep a set of these in our earthquake kit with a couple of worn flats and a cover. Lots of options for an emergency.

A Must-Have
We have used a snappi+prefold+cover with our newborn and have had great luck with that! Snappis are super easy to use and so-far haven't lost any elasticity.
