AMP Hemp pocket diaper inserts are made of two thirsty layers of 55% Hemp 45% Cotton fleece.
Because of their generous size, these inserts make great infant pre-folds and can be snappied or layed in a wrap style cover.
Each insert measures approximately 15" x 15" (12" x 14" after washing) and can be folded in half to make 4 layers of Hemp or into thirds to make 6 layers.
One 2 layer insert is great for average wetters for daytime use and two at night.
Super absorbent 3 layer inserts are the perfect all night solution for older babies or for very heavy wetters during the daytime.*
These inserts are completely customizable to meet every baby's needs.
Hemp is a great choice for diapers because of it s durability and it s absorbency. Antimicrobial properties make hemp a healthy choice as well.
When I cloth diapered my kids, the AMP hemp insert was one of my two favourite inserts. I replaced all of the microfibre that came with my cloth diapers with these later, and never looked back! They held up fabulously (not a single insert was wrecked after two kids) and were easy to use. Best of all? They're made in Canada!
I really like how absorbent yet thin these inserts are, I tend to use them with cotton flats and I haven't had a leak yet with them (I think the longest I've used them for is 3-4 hours). It's also nice that they are made by a Canadian company.
These are certainly worth the investment. They work particularly well for night time for us as they provide further absorbency than the 2 or 3 layer boosters. IF you have a heavy wetter, these are for sure your best option as they aren't too thick for baby.
I really like these inserts. They are very absorbent and wash well. I would recommend adding a booster or going to the 3 layer insert for nighttime use. They need a few washings to become fully absorbent but work really well after that! I just love the AMP duo cloth diaper system!
Although this insert hasnt given me any trouble, I always reach for my AMP bamboo inserts first. It's more of a "what works for your baby" kind of thing :)
