Holztiger’s Waldorf-inspired figures are handcrafted in Europe from sustainably-harvested (PEFC-certified) maple and beech wood. After each figure is carefully cut and sanded, it is coloured with water-based, non-toxic stains and finishes that allow the beauty of the wood grain to show through. easter basket

I ordered this animal for my son's easter basket. I love how chunky and solid it feels! I have no worries about letting my 8 month old chew on it - I am confident no wood will chip off, and no stain will come off. Very high quality! Worth the price as I can imagine these toys lasting years and years!
