The soft nylon fits from newborn to adult (starting at 4" and stretching up to 12"). The nylon is woven between the macrame knots to ensure safety and proper placement.
Because cotton is a natural product, it is best to be kept dry. If it does happen to become messy, simply re-shape it using a small comb or fingers.
