A little rough on one side while relatively soft on the other. Our 100% organic cotton wipes are much softer by far, but I find the mild roughness of these wipes grab mess better.

I find most thin wipes are flimsy & wash up weird but these still retain their shape. They are thin enough for those delicate newborn bums (or faces) :)

We have been using these, as well as flannel wipes, for our newborn but we much prefer the Geffen! So much so, in fact, that I am placing an order for 20 more, and we plan to purchase some for family and friends' future babes too. They are very thin, so they can go in very small places, and soft enough for baby's skin. Highly recommend.
