The GroVia® Hybrid/AI2 is a modern, one-size diapering system. Its unique, waterproof Shell and cloth Soaker Pad minimize waste and cost. When the Soaker Pad is wet, simply replace it with a fresh, dry one!
The Hybrid/AI2 system is designed so that the outer Shell may be used for multiple diaper changes. If the Soaker Pad is wet, simply snap in a fresh one and you’re ready to go. If the Shell is wet, allow it to air dry and use for the next diaper change. When your GroVia® Shell is soiled or very saturated start fresh with a new GroVia® Shell.
Most GroVia® Hybrid/AI2 system users will find that 2-4 GroVia® Shells are enough per day, although newborn babies may need more.
GroVia will fit MOST babies from 8-35 lbs. The GroVia Shell features three sets of rise snaps that adjust to fit your baby. Our unique one-size Organic Soaker Pad fits from 8-35 lbs as well.
First and foremost it is important to wash and dry your Soaker Pads at least 3-5 times prior to use. They will not be fully absorbent for up to 10 washes.
You will find that your laundry loads will be a third of the size of your regular laundry loads!
I was surprised that these fit my 7lb 8oz Baby better than newborn diapers. The Velcro covers the umbilical cord too as well so no worries about snagging it. My midwife says its fine, prefold lies underneath the Velcro part. Its not a perfect fit, legs are a little loose but no blowouts so far. I used with a pad folded prefold but jelly roll would work to contain poo a little better if a blowout did happen. I prefer Grovia h&l OS hybrids as an alternative to a newborn stash.
If youre looking for convenience this is the diaper for you. Its essentially got all the convenience of a disposable (minus the laundry obv). The hook and loop closure allows for an easy change and a perfect fit. I personally like the hybrid because you can reuse the cover through the day if diapers are only wet. Grovia also has super cute patterns. So far they are my favourite brand. They feel like very high quality products.
I am in love with this cover. The hook and loop is so nice and you get such a customized fit and its comfortable and doesnt dig into babys belly! It is trim and I love the prints. Bought lots of these and I use them with prefolds as well as the snap In inserts!
I have been on the hunt to find the best fitting cloth diapers for my 3 month old, 16 pound babe who has thick thighs. I purchased one of each Hybrid shell (the hook and loop and snap) to try out. Overall, Iprefer the fit of the hook and loop as it accommodates larger legs well; however, I have been told by many peoplethat snaps hold up better over time. As my LO grows maybe I'll prefer the snaps so I plan to buy more of each in the future. I prefer natural fibres as my son is a heavy wetter with sensitiveskin, so I bought the cotton inserts. Love the waterproof backing so I can use the shell more than once! I also really love that I can use prefolds and liner inserts I already own. I find the width and length of off-brand inserts doesn't matter with these shells as much as it does with pocket diapers. Hooray for saving money and less loads of laundry! So far there have been no major leaks with the Grovia cotton insert or my own cotton prefolds (only a few small drops of pee have escaped out the leg hole). They also don't leave big red indent marks on my son's thick thighs. I use bamboo disposable sheets to catch the solids so I'm hoping this helps with the longevity of the Grovia inserts. I also really like the idea of being able to replace just the inserts if need, rather than having to buy a whole new AIO or pocket diaper if the liners are worn out.I am really pleased with these shells and will definitely be ordering more.
I like the customized fit h+l affords, however longevity wise, they are not worth it. My older h+l is dead and cannot be revived sadly, rendering a perfectly good diaper useless since there's no way to refresh it.
I have tried several different brands of cloth diapers and these are by far my favourite. I prefer the fleece snap-in liners to the cotton, although theyre both good. I like that the liners snap in, rather than having to stuff the diaper. Fit is great and so is absorbancy. Would def recommend these.
The Grovia hybrid system is fantastic. We have several of the hook & loop covers. My husband loves them because they're very user-friendly and easy to get on the baby. I'd pick snaps next time if it were up to me. After 6 months, the hook & loop closure is starting to show its wear. One of the covers the side is barely sticking at all anymore.
My mum gave me this diaper when I told her that I might try cloth diapers when my baby was born. She got it second hand (like new). I liked it so much that I ordered more. I really like the mesh fabric on the inside and that it's quite fit.
This is a great cover, and would make a great swim diaper. I preferred the snaps to the hook&loop. But must say it is not easy to wipe the inner mesh clean and reuse if leaks happen as compared to the smooth TPU of the rumparooz cover for example.
I feel like if I had purchased these right from the get go I would have saved alot of money that has been spent on other brands that just can't match up to these, also would have probably continued cloth diapering without the few month break in sposies we had. This hybrid system is the boss. Snaps feel like they will outlive me, H&L is a bit more work / I bought some used and doesn't seem they will hold up as long.. they kinda curl?
