"I absolutely LOVE telling the story about the time the Spring Auction House asked me to be their official auctioneer because apparently I talk fast, clearly, loudly, enthusiastically, dramatically, and with just the right amount of flair, and I always explain how I walked in just to say hello and somehow ended up running the entire event, introducing items, hyping up bidders, adding commentary between bids, narrating snack breaks, interviewing the crowd, announcing the weather (even though we were indoors), and by the end of it everyone was clapping and laughing and asking how I managed to talk for three straight hours without stopping and I always say it’s because storytelling is my passion and also because silence is extremely awkward and unnecessary when there are so many wonderful words to share and I don't need to breathe very much.... anyways, want to hear another story?"
